After I arrived at camp, I understood that it was much more than I thought –something different and amazing that I had never come across before in my life.In my opinion one of the most powerful things is that the whole project is on a volunteer basis. On giving of yourself for someone else. This changed my view on so many things. The fact that every group has an amazing madricha. The fact that there are activities and workshops that you can really relate to - that for sure you will not find in any other place in the world.The warmth, the love, and the care from the staff is amazing and everything there is done in the best possible way. It was a strengthening, encouraging, amazing, unforgettable, eye-opening experience that is impossible to describe in words-you have to go there for yourself

At first my mother didn’t understand why she had to pay for a program that included volunteer projects but now she says that Camp Hineni is priceless. It’s very clever that camp is at the beginning of the summer because in camp you don’t waste a moment. A day in camp is like a week in real life. Friends who didn’t come to camp wasted those two weeks in the mall or watching films or on their phones or just being bored. We came back from camp full of energy to fill every moment in the summer with great experiences, new friends and a personal volunteer project to develop

Our madrichot were amazing and they were with us the whole time -in the morning projects, during afternoon and evening activities and long discussions at night in the dorms……I want to come back as a madricha
